MTV ‘working on rival reality series to E4’s Made In Chelsea’

MTV are reportedly working on a rival to E4’s Made In Chelsea.

Made In Chelsea has been running for seven years now, with 14 series and a number of specials set across the world including New york, LA, France and Ibiza.

Over the years its followed the lives of its cast including the likes of Louise Thompson, Binky Felstead, Stephanie Pratt, Spencer Matthews, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Jamie Laing.

Now MTV, more known for its raunchy shows like Ex On The Beach and Geordie Shore, are apparently set to launch a similar series.

The challenger to Made In Chelsea is rumoured to be called The Royal Show, and will follow the jet-set lifestyles of the world’s richest royals and poshest aristocrats.

The Sun reports that the new series is being touted as the “most glamorous reality TV show yet.”

An insider explained: “Made in Chelsea has proved people love seeing how the other half live. Now MTV wants to take things to a whole new level.

“The Royal Show is going to showcase some of the wealthiest 18-30-year-olds in the country and is sure to shock viewers with just how elaborate their lives can be.”

The tabloid adds that the new show comes from the makers of Channel 5’s Big Brother.
