MTV UK is reviving the British version of classic reality show Cribs – including a spin-off featuring Geordie Shore stars.
Cribs gives viewers a taste of the lifestyles of the rich and famous as celebrities guide television cameras around their flashy homes.
Launched in the US in 2000, it quickly became a smash hit with viewers and established itself as one of MTV’s most iconic brands.
Now a fresh batch of stars are set to flaunt their pads after bosses announced plans to relaunch the show on this side of the pond.
MTV UK and Ireland is bringing the British version of Cribs back for an all-new series, featuring eight half-hour episodes.
Celebs set to feature include Megan McKenna, Charlotte Dawson, Joey Essex, Amir Khan, Chris Eubank Junior, Eyal Booker, Sam Quek, Perri Kiely, and Love Island couple Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen.
Cribs UK airs on MTV on Monday nights at 8PM.. this week’s episodes features Love Island love birds Alex and Olivia Bowen, and TOWIE family the Brights.
As well as watching on TV, you can watch and catch up online via NOW TV or MTV Play.
In addition, the network is making an online spin-off named Geordie Cribs, which, as its name suggests, will exclusively feature Geordie Shore cast members.
The US version was previously rebooted in 2017 as a short-form series on Snapchat Discover.
Kelly Bradshaw, vice president of MTV UK, said: “With its firmly cemented status as a cult hit programme, Cribs remains one of the most-loved shows in MTV history.
“The new series is set to be warm and funny, giving MTV audiences a sneak peak into how their favourite stars live.”
Cribs was first brought to the UK in 2008, at the height of the show’s popularity.
The original run featured the likes of Danielle Lloyd, Keith Lemon, Sinitta and Blur’s Alex James.
Other MTV favourites that have had UK remakes over the years include TRL, Pimp My Ride and Teen Mom.
