Love Island spoiler: Liberty in tears as she and Jake SPLIT days before final

Liberty Poole was seen in tears in tonight’s Love Island as she and Jake Cornish ended their relationship.

With just days to go before the final, the pair decided to split in this evening episode.

Liberty and Jake had been coupled up since the first day and were the only official boyfriend and girlfriend in the villa.

But the past week has seen cracks in their relationship with even the other Islanders questioning Jake’s true feelings for Liberty.

In tonight’s episode, Liberty was in tears storming across the garden and taking off her microphone.

Liberty tells Faye she is questioning her feelings for Jake.

She told Faye: “I’ve got to be true to myself. Jake’s an absolutely great guy but I just don’t think we’re right for each other.”

Later speaking to Jake, Liberty airs her feelings and says: “I just don’t feel like that you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me.”

“I’m very confused, there’s not one part of me wants to change you,” Jake reacted.

Liberty suggested that the pair just weren’t right for each other as Jake asked: “What we saying then, are we saying we’ll go our separate ways then?”

“I hope you find someone who suits you better,” Liberty said as the pair hugged things out and ended their relationship.

However in another twist, a preview for Friday’s episode hinted at a possible reconciliation.

The emotional scenes came just a day after the public voted Jake & Liberty into the final week of the show.

In last night’s episode the islanders got glammed up for the evening before a surprise dumping was announced following a public vote. Aaron Simpson and Mary Bedford received the fewest votes from the public and were voted out of the villa.

On leaving, Aaron said: “I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’ve met some amazing people, made some amazing friends and bagged a worldie so can’t complain.”

Mary added: “Next step is dating, just some us time. We can’t wait to start our journey on the outside.”

Elsewhere in the latest episode, the Love Island couples woke up to the sound of screaming babies as each couple was given a doll to look after for the day.

Love Island continues nightly at 9PM on ITV2 and ITV Hub with the final next Monday night.
