Love Island’s Dominic Lever and Jessica Shears get married (for real this time)

Love Island couple Dominic Lever and Jessica Shears have got married – for real this time.

Jess and Dom met on Love Island in 2017 and have now become the second couple from the show to get married.

And of course, it’s all featured in a glossy spread in OK! Magazine this week.

Dom told the magazine: ‘”People said we wouldn’t last but now we’re husband and wife. We’re proof that when you meet the right person, there’s no need to hang around.”

“I always thought it was a cliche when people said ‘When you meet the one, you know’, but it’s true,” added Jess. “I knew we’d be together forever from very early on.

“I’m so excited to be Mrs Lever and to spend the rest of my life waking up next to Dom.”

You can read their full interview and see pictures from the big day in OK! Magazine, out on Tuesday.

The real wedding comes after the pair unofficially tied the knot on Good Morning Britain on Valentine’s Day, and it prompted quite the reaction.

They were dressed in swimwear as they said their vows to one another live on TV earlier this year.

Jess and Dom announced last year that the had become engaged, just months after meeting on series three of ITV2’s Love Island in the summer.

“It was a couple of weeks after I got out,” Dom recalled. “Everyone said, ‘Wait ’til you’re out and see how it is’.

“But when I got out I spent every single minute of everyday with her and I was just like, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with her’. I don’t regret it at all. We spend so much time together.”

Jess added: “It’s sickening; usually the honeymoon period is over very quickly but we do everything together. I can’t go to Asda without him!”

Meanwhile, it’s not just a wedding that Jess and Dom are planning for.

Speaking to OK! Magazine back in November, Jess said: “We’re desperate for kids. I don’t think we’ll wait too long after we get married to star trying.”

Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland became the first Love Island couple to tie the knot earlier in 2018.
