Love Island’s Amber Gill ‘signs up for Dancing On Ice’

Amber Gill has reportedly signed up to join the 2020 Dancing On Ice line up.

Amber is set to become the latest Love Island star to compete in the ice dancing competition, following Wes Nelson and Kem Cetinay.

According to The Sun newspaper, she’ll begin training later this year ahead of the show’s return to TV in the new year.

“The Dancing On Ice casting team are delighted with the decision to snap up Amber,” shared a source. “Love Island contestants always do really well on the series as they are still fresh in everyone’s minds.

“Amber is a stunning girl and they know she’ll look fabulous in all the sequinned costumes. She has a gutsy personality, too, so will make excellent viewing.”

Amber won this year’s Love Island with partner Greg O’Shea.

The pair split the £50,000 prize fund, walking out of the villa with £25,000 each.

However sources have claimed they could easily cash in by making as much as £1 million before Christmas thanks to brand deals and personal appearances.

Speaking about their plans for the prize money, Greg said: “[I’m going to buy] a little treat here and there and probably invest the rest. I know that sounds boring, but that’s probably the smartest thing to do.”

Amber added to the Daily Mail newspaper: “I’ll probably get one designer item and then save the rest.”

Meanwhile, the new series of Dancing On Ice is expected to launch in January on ITV.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield announced the show would be back in the new year during the live final of this year’s series.

It was former Strictly pro James who won Dancing On Ice’s latest series earlier in 2019, beating Love Island’s Wes Nelson and singer Saara Aalto in the final.

Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner currently appear as judges on the series, although it was recently claimed that show bosses were considering a potential new judge.
