Love Island’s Amber and Michael share their true feelings on first date

Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths head out on their first date on Love Island 2019 tonight.

In this evening’s show, Amber receives a text, which reads “Amber and Michael. The time has come for you to head out on your first date. #meltme #finally.”

Michael and Amber leave the villa and arrive at the location of their date. As the pair take a seat Michael admits: “I’m quite nervous. It’s our first date. I’ve been looking forward to it.”

Amber appears equally as nervous as she replies: “You’re making me feel like I’m in an interview!”

Amber wants to know what those closest to Michael would think of her, asking: “What do you think your family would think of me?”

Michael replies: “My family would love you. You’d fit right in. It would be like you’ve always been there.”

Amber says of her own family: “They would love you. You’re calm. I feel like you calm me down a bit.”

Amber continues: “I do really like you. It’s working out really nicely now. If we stay the way that we are, I can see it lasting the duration and I can’t see why it wouldn’t work on the outside as well. I just feel like we’re compatible on another level.”

Michael says “It’s not that far from Liverpool to Newcastle anyway.”

Amber comments: “You’d have to move to Newcastle.”

Michael then tells her: “From getting to know you, I’ve just realised that me and you are so alike. It just felt so natural.”

Amber responds: “I’ve turned cuddly! I feel shy that’s how I know I really like you.”

Michael continues “I’ve noticed it over the last couple of days! You’ve been getting closer to me and wanting to be around me…. I find myself wanting to be next to you, just so you know I’m there.”

Amber concludes: “I love spending all my time with you in the villa.”

Michael and Amber have just had their first date and it looks as if it won’t be long before they’re moving in with each other if Amber gets her way.

Will Amber and Michael’s relationship continue to head in the right direction?

Love Island 2019 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
