Love Island winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea reveal prize money plans

Love Island winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea have revealed their plans for the prize money.

It was Greg & Amber who won love Island 2019 last Monday night beating Tommy Fury & Molly-Mae Hague into second place. Ovie Soko & India Reynolds finished third with Curtis Pritchard & Maura Higgins fourth in the live final.

As winners, the pair played for the £50,000 which was initially won by Greg.

He had the option to steal the lot or share, opting to split it with Amber.

Speaking about their plans for the prize money, Greg said: “[I’m going to buy] a little treat here and there and probably invest the rest. I know that sounds boring, but that’s probably the smartest thing to do.”

Amber added to the Daily Mail newspaper: “I’ll probably get one designer item and then save the rest.”

Amber and Greg were together for just 12 days when they won the show but say they’re now exclusively dating.

Recently revealed Love Island voting figures showed that Greg & Amber won the show with a massive 49% of the vote in the live final, with Tommy and Molly-Mae receiving just over 26% as runners up.

Although it was a big gap, it was a lot less than last year where Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham won with almost 80% of the vote.

All of this year’s Love Islanders will reunite for one last time on Sunday night for this year’s reunion show.

Love Island: The Reunion airs tonight, August 4 at 9PM on ITV2.

It’ll then be a good few months before the show returns – but we don’t have to wait until next summer.

Instead, a new winter series will air in January, coming from a new villa in Cape Town, South Africa.

Applications for Love Island’s new winter series open now, with the deadline to apply in November.

The new winter show will be followed by the usual summer season next year.
