Here’s a look back to Love Island 2018 on ITV2 – which couples are still together and who has split?
Now a year on after Love Island finished last summer, it’s over for ALL of the couples with none lasting more than 12 months.
Here’s the latest on who split and when…
Dani Dyer & Jack Fincham
Status: SPLIT
The winners of Love Island 2018 shared the £50,000 prize. They lasted the longest of last year’s couples but confirmed their split in April.
Jack wrote on Instagram: “There is no easy way to say this and it isn’t going to be an easy time but me and Dani are not in a relationship anymore.
“We will always care a lot for each other and have love for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness.”
Dani added: “It’s just one of them things, it didn’t work out. There’s going to be a lot of stuff going on about it, but it’ll be fine.
“I wish all the best for Jack, it just didn’t work out.”
Laura Anderson & Paul Knops
Status: SPLIT
Laura & Paul finished as runners up on this year’s show despite not being in an official couple.
And although they started “exclusively seeing each other”, they still never made themselves official.
In the end, the pair stopped dating last September. Laura said she had hoped to “build a proper relationship out of the villa. It didn’t happen.”
Josh Denzel & Kazimir ‘Kaz’ Crossley
Status: SPLIT
Despite appearing to be going strong, Josh and Kaz confirmed they had split in January 2019.
Kaz said on social media: “Sometimes things don’t go the way you planned, but you have to be grateful for the journey. Thank you for everything especially showing me how to love myself again ❤️”
Josh responded to the post with an unhappy face and pray hand emojis.
Megan Barton Hanson & Wes Nelson
Status: SPLIT
Both Megan & Wes had quite turbulent journeys in the villa before getting together as an official couple.
Things looked to be going well for them until Megan announced their split in January 2019, shortly after Wes joined Dancing On Ice.
“I am so grateful and so blessed to have found Wes, I will always love and adore him and I am so lucky to call him my best friend,” Megan said.
She added: “It has been an incredibly hard decision to make for both of us but we are looking forward to moving on together as friends and supporting each other in everything we do.”
Georgia Steel & Sam Bird
Status: SPLIT
Georgia & Sam QUIT the villa to be with one another and things between them remained good outside the villa – for a while.
They quickly moved in together but it wasn’t too long before it got messy.
The pair split last October, with conflicting claims and rumours about just what happened and who was and wasn’t loyal. The truth still isn’t clear, but they’re no longer together.
Jack Fowler & Laura Crane
Status: SPLIT
Jack & Laura were eliminated together before becoming an official couple.
Although they continued to date for a while after the show, they ultimately ended up going their separate ways.
“Sadly Jack and I have both decided to go our separate ways due to such busy schedules right now and not having the time to spend together,” Laura said in a statement in September 2018.
“[I] feel truly blessed to have got to share my Love Island experience with him and to have made a friend for life. We will carry on supporting each other on this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.”
Samira Mighty & Frankie Foster
Status: SPLIT
Samira and Frankie became the first of last year’s couples to split after cheating claims.
A rep for Samira, who quit the show to be with Frankie, said: “Samira will be taking some time out from her relationship with Frankie to focus on herself and future work opportunities.
“They have spoken in depth about the recent events and Samira feels a break for now is the best thing for both of them so they can see what the future holds.”
A spokesperson for Frankie said: “Frankie wholeheartedly knows that his actions were not acceptable and has apologised to Samira.”
