Love Island 2021 was back on Friday night with a dramatic recoupling that left two boys single before a new arrival shocked the villa.
Following the two new boys entering the villa this week, Friday evening (2 July) saw the girls with the power as they decided who to couple up with.
As the Islanders were relaxing at the Villa on the latest episode last night, Chloe received a text which reads: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling in which the girls will choose which boy to couple up with. #toomanymennotenoughtime #girlpower”
It was the first recoupling of the series the girls were in charge as the boys stood before them and the ladies chose who they wanted to recouple with – however with five girls and seven boys, two boys were about to be left single.

Kaz Kamwi coupled up with Toby Aromolaran.
Sharon Gaffka coupled up with Aaron Francis.
Liberty Poole coupled up with Jake Cornish.
Faye Winter coupled up with Liam Reardon.
Chloe Burrows coupled up with Hugo Hammond.
As a result both new guy Chuggs Wallis and original Islander Brad McClelland were left single.
Another text then arrived which read: “You are now single and your place in the villa is at risk. Who stays in the villa and who goes will be decided by Rachel.”
New girl Rachel Finni then made a bombshell arrival in the villa before one final text arrived.
Rachel read out the message: “In 24 hours you must choose to couple up with Brad or Chuggs. The boy not chosen will be dumped from the Island. #CrackOnOrGoHome #ThreesACrowd.”
Love Island continues Sunday – Fridays at 9PM on ITV2 and ITV Hub. On Saturdays you can watch Unseen Bits at 10PM while Sundays will see spin-off Aftersun at 10PM with host Laura Whitmore.
Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
