Love Island 2021 results: Who left? One Islander leaves after new twist

What happened on Love Island last night? Recap!

One more Islander has been dumped from Love Island 2021 in a shock twist.

Monday’s show saw the latest recoupling of the series and this time it was the boys who had all the power.

The pairs at the end of the recoupling were: Teddy Soares and Faye Winter; Jake Cornish & Liberty Poole; Toby Aromolaran & Chloe Burrows; Liam Reardon & Millie Court; Brad McClelland & Lucinda Strafford; Aaron Francis & Kaz Kamwi and Hugo Hammond & Sharon Gaffka.

Unknown to the islanders, following the recoupling the public got the chance to vote for the new couples. Viewers were asked to use the app to vote for who they thought were the most compatible couple.

Who left Love Island?

In Tuesday’s episode, a text shared with the group: “Islanders. The public have been voting for the couple that they think is the most compatible. Those with the fewest votes risk being dumped tonight. Please all stand up.”

Brad and Lucinda, Chloe and Toby, and Sharon and Hugo were named as the three least compatible couples. Another text then announced that Brad and Lucinda had the fewest votes and were therefore the least compatible couple.

In a shock twist, it was then revealed that one of them would be dumped from the island – and they would have to decide between themselves who it was.

The pair discussed the decision and it was Brad who left Love Island in last night’s episode (14 July).

He said after his exit: “For me, straight off, I said ‘I’ll leave’. I’m kind of hoping she [Lucinda] doesn’t find love in there, because maybe we can carry on from where we left off. I had a bit more time than her, so going off time alone it’s only fair that she got her fair shot at it.

Brad added: “On the night, it was one of them situations where, I didn’t want her to leave [with me]. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to take what we had and continue it on the outside.

“I woke up this morning and I wish we had left together. I want to see where that could have went. Not being able to speak to Cind, or ask her where she’s at, I want to know how she’s woke up this morning.”

Elsewhere in yesterday’s episode, the results of the public caused tension between Chloe and Toby.

Love Island 2021 continues nightly at 9PM on ITV2 and online via the ITV Hub.
