Two couples have been dumped from the villa in tonight’s Love Island 2019 results.
The first dramatic exit took place yesterday evening after viewers had the chance to keep their favourite Islanders in via the Love Island app.
Last night’s show (July 8) saw the first half of the results revealed to a shocked villa.
Although not everyone was romantically together, the official couples in the vote were Danny Williams & Jourdan Riane, Anton Danyluk & Belle Hassan, Lucie Donlan & George Rains, Curtis Pritchard & Amy Hart, Tommy Fury & Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins & Marvin Brooks, Anna Vakili & boy Ovie Soko and Michael Griffiths & Joanna Chimonides.
As they are both officially single, Jordan Hames and Amber Gill were immune from the vote and elimination.
The results happened in the middle of a birthday party for Anna, who was celebrating turning 29.
Maura received a text, which read: “Can all Islanders gather at the fire pit immediately.”

The three couples with the fewest votes were revealed as Lucie & George, Danny & Jourdan and Amy & Curtis were told they are at risk of being dumped from the Island.
Then the couple who received the least votes from the public was announced as Danny Williams and Jourdan Riane who were immediately dumped from the Island.
However, just as the remaining two couples thought they were safe, Tommy received a text.
The message revealed: “One more couple will be dumped, the other couple will remain in the villa. The couple which stays and couple that is dumped will be decided by your fellow Islanders.”
The Islanders deliberated in their couples to decide who they believe should remain in the villa. Single Amber and Jordan did not take part in this vote.
With the fewest votes from their fellow Islanders to stay, Lucie Donlan and George Rains were also eliminated from the villa.
Speaking after his exit, Danny said: “On the whole my time in Love Island was blessed. I am very grateful. I met so many amazing people. There has definitely been ups and downs but I feel really lucky.”
Jourdan added: “I would say my time in the villa has been a rollercoaster but absolutely incredible! I feel really grateful for my experience. It’s been nothing short of eventful or entertaining. I’ve made the best friendships which I didn’t think I would make in such a short space of time. I loved it!”
Lucie said: “To do the show is like a fun holiday with friends and dating hot guys. It was amazing! I enjoyed the challenges because they were so different. I’d never get to do that ever again. I made some amazing friends in the villa, it was the biggest family.”
George reacted: “My time in Love Island was absolutely amazing. I met some really great people. I’m so lucky to have experienced what I did. ”
Love Island 2019 airs nightly on ITV2.
