Love Island fans call for Maura Higgins to be kicked out of the villa

Some fans of Love Island think Maura Higgins should be removed from the villa after tonight’s episode.

This evening’s show (Friday, June 14) saw the love triangle between new girl Maura, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury continue.

Towards the end of the show, Tommy decided to sleep on the sofas to avoid causing any more drama.

But viewers watched on as Maura tried to persuade him to give her a kiss in front of Molly-Mae.

Following the show, many claimed a man doing the same to a woman would’ve been kicked out.

One wrote: “On a serious note though. Imagine Maura and Tommy being in reverse roles there. A lad literally cornering a girl and forcing himself on top of her and kissing all over her face after she said no. He’d have been booted out. ??‍♀️ #loveisland”

Another agreed: “Petition for Maura to get kicked out? Role reversal and the whole country would be kicking off. Completely inappropriate #LoveIsland”

Added a third online: “sorry but if a guy acted like maura they’d get done for it and kicked off the show #LoveIsland”

It seems that many viewers are now on Molly-Mae’s side after the latest episode.

“Kinda rooting for Molly-Mae, didn’t see this coming,” one viewer tweeted.

“I’m hella rooting for molly at this point because maura makes me feel uncomfortable #LoveIsland,” agreed another user.

Earlier in tonight’s show, Maura and Molly-Mae had a tense conversation about Tommy.

Maura said to Molly-Mae: “Last night, you didn’t say that you really liked him. There was a connection with me and Tommy. He did tell me he liked me. I’m here to find someone.”

She then commented in the Beach Hut “I don’t need to ask Molly-Mae’s permission to crack on with Tommy Fury. Is she joking?”

Molly-Mae then approached Tommy, telling him: “You’re the guy I like in here. I do want to show you that I still like you. If you feel like what you have with Maura, after knowing the girl for 24 hours, is stronger than what you have with me then that’s absolutely fine.

“Personally, I don’t feel like you’re going to get on with Maura better than you get along with me.”

Tommy told the Beach Hut: “Maura has been in here a day and she has already told me more than what Molly-Mae has told me in six days. It is what it is. It’s a hard decision to make because me and Molly-Mae have a good connection but now the tables have turned.”

Love Island 2019 continues nightly on ITV2.

The next episode of the main show airs Sunday night, with a special ‘Unseen Bits’ episode airing on Saturday evening.
