Love Island 2022 Casa Amor first look as twist returns to cause drama

Love Island Casa Amor date

Love Island’s Casa Amor is to make a dramatic return – and the start date is coming soon.

The dastardly second villa has been at the centre of much drama in past series.

The regular mid-series twist typically sees the boys and girls split into separate villas, each joined by a host of newbies, in order to test whether or not they remain faithful to their existing relationships.

At the end of their stay apart, the original couples will each separately decide if they want to stay together or couple up with someone new – unaware of their partner’s choice.

Only when the couples are reunited in the main villa will it be revealed who remained loyal and who recoupled.

This year’s Casa Amor twist will begin in tonight’s episode (Friday, 1 July).

The girls receive a surprise text which read: “Girls, it’s time to get the drinks flowing as you’re off for a girls’ night out. #cocktailhour #shakenandstirred”

As they scream in excitement, Jacques ran upstairs to find out what’s happened.

He tells the boys: “Listen, the girls’ text is girls’ night out, cocktails…”

Dami reacts: “What are we supposed to do without them though?”

For now the new series of Love Island continues nightly on ITV2 and ITV Hub.

Laura Whitmore is back to host as the Islanders do their best to flirt, date, couple up and try and avoid being dumped from the iconic Mallorcan villa.

The last episode saw three couples at risk after the public voted for their favourite pairings.

The safe couples were revealed in no particular order as Dami & Indiyah, Jacques & Paige, Luca & Gemma and Davide & Ekin-Su.

That left Charlie & Antigoni, Jay & Danica and Andrew & Tasha at danger of being dumped .

Another text then announced: “Only one boy and one girl will be going home tonight. That decision is in the hands of your fellow Islanders. Girls, you must now decide which boy to dump. Boys, you must now decide which girl to dump.”

Love Island airs 9PM on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
