One couple left the villa in last night’s Love Island 2019 results – spoilers!
On Friday, the public were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite couple following the latest recoupling.
The official couples in the vote were: India Reynolds & Ovie Soko, Harley Brash & Chris Taylor, Anna Vakili & Jordan Hames, Molly-Mae Hague & Tommy Fury, Belle Hassan & Anton Danyluk, Maura Higgins & Curtis Pritchard, Amber Gill & Greg O’Shea and Francesca Allen & Michael Griffiths.
In Sunday’s show it was time to find out the results. A text sent to the group read: “Can all Islanders gather around the fire pit immediately.”
At the fire pit, the Islanders were made aware of the recent public vote, and how the three couples with the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped from the Island.
Love Island 2019 results
In last night’s results show, the three couples in danger were revealed one-by-one as Michael & Francesca, Chris & Harley and Anna & Jordan. They were then asked to stand in front of their fellow Islanders.
A follow up text then explained that only one couple would leave the Island, and the decision was in the hands of the remaining couples.
Each couple had to vote to save one of the three couples. The couple with the fewest votes from their fellow Islanders would be dumped from the Island.
Here’s how the votes went:
India & Ovie voted to save Chris & Harley
Molly-Mae & Tommy voted to save Anna & Jordan
Belle & Anton voted to save Anna & Jordan
Maura & Curtis voted to save Anna & Jordan
Amber & Greg voted to save Anna & Jordan
With the fewest votes from their fellow islanders to be saved (i.e. none), it was Michael & Francesca who left Love Island in last night’s results.
Speaking after the result, Michael reacted: “It’s been the most amazing experience of my life. I’ve made tremendous friends who I would now consider family. The people in there have been the easiest people to get along with, and at the same time the toughest.
“They have helped me through certain situations when I’ve been at a low point and also been understanding of when I’ve made decisions that were right for me.”
Francesca added: “It was just amazing. The best experience. I learnt so much about myself in there and it was a massive life lesson for me. I made great memories and great friends in a short amount of time. It was a very positive experience.”
Love Island 2019 continues nightly on ITV2.
The Love Island final has been confirmed for Monday, July 29.
