Megan Barton Hanson has ditched Wes Nelson for new guy Alex Miller on Love Island 2018.
However Wes stayed loyal in the latest recoupling, which will air in full on Monday night.
Last week the islanders were split in two groups, with the men being sent off to the sneaky second villa.
Twelve fresh faces then arrived, putting the original couples’ relationships to the ultimate test.
The original boys and girls have been getting to know the new Islanders in their respective villas over the weekend.
Now on Monday night, a dramatic recoupling will cause a huge stir.
In a text, the original Islanders are told they must decide whether or not they want to stay in their original couples or partner up with one of the newbies.
On Aftersun tonight (Sunday), a spoiler revealed that Megan has decided to recouple, choosing new guy Alex.
Host Caroline Flack then revealed that Wes had decided to stay loyal, as he returned to the main villa alone.
Megan’s decision follows her kissing both Alex and fellow newbie Dean Overson in tonight’s show.
Reflecting on her kiss with Alex in tonight’s episode, Megan told the Beach Hut: “It’s the happiest I’ve been in here. I’m not going to lie. So much more fun, this is how I wanted it to be.”
Talking to the girls about the choice she faces between Alex and Dean, she admitted: “I said to him ‘don’t tell everyone,’ because I think it’s hard because I had a chat with Dean. He was trying in his own way.
“He’s a mix of Eyal’s good looks and Dr Alex’s awkwardness. I think I need someone that I just click with, I can’t do it out of sympathy. (Alex) is a proper man.”
On the subject of Wes, Megan indicated she’s moving on…and hopes he was too: “I try not to think about what Wes is up to and what he’s going to think about the kiss with Alex. I’m sure he’s chatting to girls and getting to know other girls as well. I hope that he is. Can you imagine if he walked back without a girl, I’d be like ‘sorry’.”
Unfortunately for Megan, Wes is on a very different page, as he remarkd in the Beach Hut: “I’m not really keen on the girls in terms of going forward. I think there’s some that are nice but in terms of initial attraction and the first day, not as good as the first day with Meg.”
Love Island 2018 airs nightly at 9PM on ITV2.
