Little Mix say they won’t be splitting up any time soon

Little Mix have assured fans they have no intention of splitting up any time soon.

Little Mix won The X Factor back in 2011 and are currently touring the UK with their new LM5 arena tour.

In a new interview, Jade Thirlwall has said the group plans to keep going for so long as people are buying their music.

“As long as we’re having hits, we’ll stay together,” Jade told The Sun newspaper: “If our music has started to dwindle and get a bit floppy then . . . we’d want to end on a high.”

She added: “Right now we’re probably happier than we’ve ever been as a group.”

Jade went on to confess she and the other girls hated their band name when they were originally on The X Factor.

“We were like, ‘It’s the end of our career, we sound like children’. I guess in hindsight, it has kept us young,” she said.

Following their tour, Little Mix will be seen on TV screens next year with their own singing talent show.

The BBC this month confirmed brand new series Little Mix The Search.

The programme will welcome incredibly talented singers to become members of all-female, all-male or mixed bands.

Jade and her bandmates – Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – will create bands and help mentor them alongside expert vocal coaches, song writers, producers and stylists.

The winning group will get the chance to join Little Mix on their summer tour in 2020.

Little Mix said: “We want to create lots of incredible groups who really gel. As we have been there and done it ourselves, we know what it takes to make a group successful, and will be there to mentor them every step of the way.

“We want solo artists to audition as well as groups and every type of genre is welcome too. It’s going to be really exciting and people can apply right now!”

Little Mix The Search will air on BBC One in 2020.
