Joe-Warren Plant and Vanessa Bauer won’t return to Dancing On Ice, it’s been revealed.
The pair were forced to quit the competition earlier this month after both tested positive for Covid.
Following the news that last weekend’s live show would be postponed the duo were rumoured for a return.
But now it’s been confirmed the pair won’t be making a comeback with the show going forward with just the five remaining couples.
Those left on the cast are Capital radio DJ Sonny Jay, Olympic hurdler Colin Jackson, TV personality Rebekah Vardy, Corrie’s Faye Brookes and musician Lady Leshurr.
ITV revealed today that the series will be cut short by a week with a new final date.
They explained in a statement: “ITV have taken the decision to move the final of Dancing on Ice forward by one week. The competition’s final will now take place on Sunday 14th March.
“Our production team and cast have delivered a fantastic show during incredibly challenging times.
“Continuing to make the best TV for our viewers is our top priority and we look forward to the rest of the series, on air from this Sunday at 6pm.”
This week saw Jason Donovan become the latest celeb to withdraw from the competition after doctors ruled him out on medical grounds.
Meanwhile Pro skater Hamish Gaman has also been forced to withdraw due to a hand injury.
His celebrity partner Faye Brookes will continue in the competition and Matt Evers will now become her pro-skater partner.
Previously Rufus Hound stepped down after also testing positive for Coronavirus while Billie Shepherd had to quit due to injury.
Their unexpected exits followed Denise Van Outen leaving due to a shoulder injury.
