JLS’ star Marvin Humes to join The X Factor panel?

JLS singer Marvin Humes has said he’s up for joining The X Factor 2018.

There are currently three spots up for grabs on The X Factor panel alongside Simon Cowell this year.

Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger have both left while Sharon Osbourne will only appear at the live shows.

Marvin was on The X Factor in 2008, making the final as part of JLS.

He’s now a successful TV presenter and DJ – and is gearing up to release his new single Troy.

Could he also be set to appear on The X Factor?

“I’m surprised that Louis has gone actually,” Marvin told the Daily Express newspaper. “You know, I think Louis is part of the show. He literally is the show.

“Obviously he was out mentor, so I’ve got nothing but love and respect for him.”

Throwing his own hat into the ring, Marvin teased: “Listen, who knows? I heard that Robbie Williams is up for it. I heard that Craig David’s up for it.

“I think they would both be amazing. Chuck [my name] in. Why not, why not?”

Marvin went on to talk about his new song Troy which is out on Friday.

“It’s something I’ve been working on for a long time,” he said. “It’s a big summer record so I’m looking forward to everyone hearing it.”

ITV confirmed last week that alongside Simon Cowell, three new judges will join this year’s series while Sharon Osbourne will act as a fifth judge for the live shows.

Both Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh have quit the series, the channel confirmed.

Louis said: “I’ve had a fantastic 13 years on The X Factor but the show needs a change and I’m ready to leave.

“I’m looking forward to another series of Ireland’s Got Talent, going back to my day job as a manager, writing my memoirs and seeing the world!”
