Actress Chelsea Halfpenny is being tipped for the Strictly Come Dancing line up.
Chelsea is the niece of Jill Halfpenny, who herself competed on Strictly in the second series and won the show.
26-year-old Chelsea is best known for her roles in ITV soap Emmerdale,as Amy Wyatt and more recently as Alicia Munroe in BBC One’s Casualty.
The Daily Mirror reports that she’s now in line to join the Strictly cast in the autumn.
“Chelsea ticks all the boxes. She beautiful, fun and the fact that her famous aunt actually won the series would add a lot more interest,” a source said.
While Strictly’s 2018 series still has a while to go before launching, a whole number of celebs have been linked to the series.
They include Chelsea’s fellow soap star Hayley Tamaddon plus breakfast TV presenters Piers Morgan and Dan Walker, who front ITV’s Good Morning Britain and BBC’s Breakfast respectively.
Another of the names Strictly Come Dancing bosses are reportedly “desperate” to sign is X Factor star turned TV host Rylan Clark-Neal.
Hollyoaks star turned Oscar winner Rachel Shenton and The Chase’s Mark Labbett have also been tipped to take part in Strictly Come Dancing, alongside former England footballer David James and Actress Michelle Keegan.
More rumoured celebs include The 2015 Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussein, TV actor Les Dennis, boxing legend Frank Bruno and even This Morning’s own host Holly Willoughby. Despite hosting Dancing On Ice, she said: “I’m obsessed with Strictly, so I’d love to learn to dance.”
Strictly Come Dancing will begin on BBC One in the autumn.
