Jason Gardiner ‘could be replaced on Dancing On Ice’

Dancing On Ice bosses are reportedly considering replacing Jason Gardiner on Dancing On Ice.

The critical ice judge has been on the panel for all but one of the eleven series to date.

However it’s claimed that he may not be back for the next season in 2020.

Sources have alleged that show bosses are looking for potential new judges over concerns about Jason’s harsh comments.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Bosses have become concerned in light of the axing of The Jeremy Kyle Show, that contestants could have a cause for complaint.

“After the rows with Gemma last year, producers started to make quiet inquiries about potential replacements.”

They added: “It sounds as if Jason isn’t aware this process is taking place, which is a bit awkward.”

It wouldn’t be the first time that Jason has left the show after he was dropped in 2012, replaced by Louie Spence.

But the switch only lasted the one series, with Jason returning the next year.

It was former Strictly pro James who won Dancing On Ice‘s latest series earlier in 2019, beating Love Island’s Wes Nelson and singer Saara Aalto in the final.

The show will be back in January in 2020 on ITV.

DOI hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield made the announcement in the live final of the latest run.

Dancing On Ice originally ran between 2006 and 2014, hosted by Philip, Holly and later Christine Bleakley.

After a four-year break, the show returned in 2018 to big ratings that were matched by this year’s series.

So it’s no surprise to learn that a brand new celebrity cast will be taking to the ice next year.

As yet the line up of celebrities for 2020 has yet to be confirmed.
