I’m A Celebrity’s Iain Lee signed up to pay ill mother’s care home fees

Iain Lee is taking part in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here to cover costs for his ill mother.

It’s been reported that Iain joined the line up to help pay for his mum’s care home fees.

The Sun newspaper reports that Iain’s mother is sadly suffering from severe MS and around the clock care is costing Iain £1,500 a week.

“We can’t afford to keep her there. It’s very upsetting,” Iain is quoted as telling the tabloid before joining the jungle.

“His mum’s care home costs are a great concern for Iain,” a source said today. “He’ll be able to use a proportion of his jungle fee to stabilise the situation.

“He’s made no secret of the fact he can’t wait to get home to his boys but knowing the money will be a huge help to his mum is stopping him from walking out.”

In Sunday night’s show, Iain lashed out after finding he’d be staying at least one more day in the jungle.

The radio host branded I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec “a**eholes” after they didn’t let him leave the camp.

Iain got up in the morning and said he had dreamt of freedom. “I’ve got a very strong vibe that I am going out today and I can’t wait to see my big sis”

Ant and Dec then appeared in camp with news. “The news is that no-one will be leaving the camp today so you all have at least one more day in the Jungle,” said Dec.

In the Bush Telegraph Iain reacted: “My mum is a fan of Ant and Dec but when I come out of the Jungle I am going to be asking her to cancel her membership of the A&DFC – the Ant and Dec Fan Club.
