I’m A Celebrity 2017 campmates win night at the Jungle Arms after Rank Taxi ride

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestants had yet another treat yesterday, winning a night at the ‘Jungle Arms’ pub after taking a ‘Rank Taxi’ ride.

Some of the celebs spent yesterday speaking of their desire for a pub lunch – unaware that bosses had set up an outback tavern in Snake Rock.

After an early dinner of eel, potatoes and veg, won by Dennis Wise at the Temple of Gloom, the Jungle Arms opened for business.

However, in order to get the boozer, the campmates first had to visit the taxi rank and hail a Rank Taxi.

The celebs split in to two groups of four and had to endure fifteen minutes in a black cab, while being showered in critters.

During their journeys, the had to add up fares as they stopped at landmarks. If they provided the correct total, they’d win an additional prize.

The first group was Dennis Wise, Jamie Lomas, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Vanessa White.

Jamie yelped when pythons slithered in to the cab, and he even pulled his shorts in to prevent them crawling up his legs.

After stops including ‘Critter-dilly Circus’ and ‘Croc-sford Street’, they correctly totalled their fare at £20.50, earning chips and ketchup.

The foursome promptly made their way to the Jungle Arms, and were thrilled to finally get a taste of beer and wine.

Next to board the cab were Amir Khan, Iain Lee, Jennie McAlpine and Stanley Johnson.

Cockroaches, green ants and large spiders joined them in the taxi, and squeamish Amir soon began fidgeting as the arachnids landed around him.

At one point, Jennie was concerned the boxer might quit the challenge, but he managed to hang on for the full fifteen minutes.

They correctly quoted a £19.80 fare after stopping at ‘Edgware Toad’, ‘Tottenham Court Roach’ and ‘Frightsbridge’, earning a delicious pizza.

Once all eight campmates had arrived at the pub, they enjoyed a round of karaoke.

Highlights included Iain’s enthusiastic cover of Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’ and Stanley’s rendition of Dame Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’.

“Its so lovely, because we’ve hung around together for so long, but we’ve never been out a night out!” Jennie smiled.

“Good night all round, and long may it last,” added Stanley.

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV until Sunday’s grand final.
