Sam Thompson faced tonight’s latest trial on I’m A Celebrity before the result of the fifth elimination of the series.

In this evening’s episode, Ant & Dec were back in camp once again to reveal the results of the fifth public vote.

With the fewest votes to remain in camp, it was EastEnders star Danielle Harold who left I’m A Celebrity.

“It was weird but when you’re in there you don’t realise you’re on telly,” she told hosts Ant and Dec. “You just feel you’re camping with your mates.”

Danielle’s exit leaves the five celebs in camp in the face to Sunday’s final.

What happened on I’m A Celebrity tonight

Tonight’s episode began with Nigel struggling with the campfire. Sam lightened the atmosphere with a song for Tony. However, the cheerful spirit was dampened by the news of Nick’s departure. Sam, deeply affected, shared in the Bush Telegraph how much Nick’s leaving impacted him, promising to start watching Hollyoaks in his honor. Danielle tearfully praised Nick, calling him “the best man” she’s ever met.

The camp then faced the challenge of cooking without Nick, leaving Sam as the solo chef. His nervous admission in the Bush Telegraph about the potential for “bad meals” hinted at the culinary adventures ahead.

Sam’s day took an exciting turn as he was chosen for the day’s Trial, “No Time To Cry part two, Cry Harder.” In this spy-themed challenge, Sam was tasked with infiltrating a villain’s lair to collect stars, adopting the alter ego “Agent Merf.” Despite initial hiccups, including forgetting stars and breaking beams, he successfully completed the mission, retrieving all six stars.

Back in camp, the challenge of cooking continued. Nigel, appointed sous chef, and Sam faced a mishap with burnt rice, leading to a humorous exchange between the duo. Despite the error, the campmates rallied, with Sam accepting responsibility for the burnt dish.

Danielle shared her journey into acting and landing a role in EastEnders, describing the overwhelming moment she was cast. Tony discussed his unexpected break into acting with the Creed series, sharing anecdotes about his experiences with Sylvester Stallone and filming fight scenes.

The day ended on a high note as the campmates successfully completed a group challenge at The Jungle Hotline, earning a breakfast treat of butty and tea, much to their delight. Danielle’s excitement for the upcoming cup of tea encapsulated the camp’s triumph and camaraderie after a day filled with challenges and teamwork.

Last night’s episode saw Nick, Marvin, and Tony chosen to participate in the “Critter Mixer” Trial in camp.
