Holly Willoughby spills on Dancing On Ice’s new series

Holly Willoughby has spilled on Dancing On Ice’s upcoming new series in an interview with Jonathan Ross.

Appearing on this week’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, Holly Willoughby joined the sofa and spoke to Jonathan about returning to host Dancing on Ice in the new year.

The 2020 series will welcome new judge John Barrowman MBE who replaces Jason Gardiner on the panel alongside Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo.

Speaking about John Barrowman joining the judging panel, Holly said: “He is going to be just wonderful because he’s full of life.

“[When he was a contestant on the show in 2006] he was really good, he was one of those ones who shouldn’t have gone out when he did, to be honest.”

12 brand new contestants on Dancing On Ice 2020 were revealed earlier this year.

Holly spoke about reports that celebrity contestant H from Steps will dance in the first same sex partnership alongside professional skater, Matt Evers.

She said: “It’s the first time on TV that we have a same sex partnership… I know it’s something that Matt Evers has wanted to do for a really long time. It’s about time too!”

Meanwhile, Holly revealed that Gemma Collins will be returning to the Dancing on Ice Christmas Special after being on the main series earlier this year.

She shared: “She likes a skate. She actually did really well.

“There was the moment [when she fell last series] and nobody wants anybody to get hurt and thankfully the reason this is okay to speak about is because she didn’t get hurt but she did give us one of the most spectacular falls ever.”

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday, December 7 at 10:25PM on ITV.

Alongside Holly, on this week’s episode Jonathan is joined by Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host, Jeremy Clarkson; US actress, writer and producer, Lena Dunham; Award-winning actress, Glenda Jackson and Timewasters star, Samson Kayo. Plus Stereophonics perform.

Meanwhile, Dancing on Ice at Christmas will air on Sunday, December 22 at 7PM.

Dancing On Ice’s live shows will then begin in January 2020 on ITV with an exact launch date to be revealed.
