Why Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo’s ex James Middleton said yes to Survival Of The Fittest

The ex of I’m A Celebrity winner Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo is heading into a brand new reality show.

James Middleton, who split from Toff before her jungle stint last year, will appear on the ITV2 series Survival Of The Fittest.

Touted as a ‘winter Love Island’, the show will see two groups of single men and women fight it out in the ultimate ‘battle of the sexes’.

“Will the girls put sisters before misters and will the boys choose mates over dates? Or will the temptation be too much and they end up in bed with the enemy?” ask ITV2.

James is one of the male teammates and this week spoke out about his split from Toff, and why he signed up to Survival Of The Fittest.

“I was super proud of Toff and how well she did,” he said of Toff in the jungle. “These ops don’t come round that much. I thought why not?

“People go different avenues to reach different places so I thought why not. I thought it was a good fit for me.”

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, James revealed he and Toff split just before I’m A Celebrity in 2017.

“We had our ups and downs. We broke up before she went into the jungle and she wanted to focus on that and it was all fine. I still supported her when she was in there and it was all good,” he said.

Insisting the pair were on “good terms”, James continued: “I wanted her to have the chance to do her own thing and that’s what I am doing now. We have both gone in our different directions.

“She lives celeb lifestyle, I didn’t.

“She’d be out a lot. I wasn’t. I had a 9-5 and she had stuff in the evenings. And it was one of those things. Wanting to have normal time together.

“Our relationship was good when we were together. Nothing bad.”

Survival Of The Fittest starts Sunday night on ITV2 at 9PM.
