Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner is reportedly threatening legal action against Gemma Collins.
It follows the pair’s on air row during Sunday night’s musicals themed live show, where Gemma perform to Diamonds Are A Girl’s best Friend from Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
Her routine with pro skater Matt Evers was panned by the judges, receiving just 13 points with Jason awarding a 3.
In the comments, judge Jason Gardiner criticised Gemma for her lack of commitment and in response Gemma accused him of ‘selling stories’ about her to the press.
The pair erupted into a nasty on air row, with Gemma shouting over him: “Boring! Boring!” before he retaliated by branding her a “brat”.
As the fallout of the pair’s argument continues, it’s claimed that Jason is considering bringing legal action against Gemma over the allegation that he sold stories about her.
“Jason has made Gemma aware that he intends to sue her. He’s livid,” an insider told The Sun newspaper. “He insists that all he did was give an interview to The Sun, where he was asked about lots of things, including Gemma.”
The source claimed that Gemma had been left “very stressed” by the the development, concluding: “This has become the biggest reality show war ever.”
Gemma’s pro partner Matt Evers this week said sorry to Jason for repeating her claims.
He tweeted: “Always own up to your mistakes! I just want to say sorry to Jason as today on Heart FM I intimated he sold stories to a newspaper. I totally got my wires crossed and I apologise. It’s been one hell of a 24 hours!”
A representative for Jason said: “Jason did an interview to promote Dancing On Ice with The Sun last week. Within this interview he was asked about Gemma Collins and all the contestants. He gave his opinion. This interview was not done ‘behind ITV’s back’. ITV were fully aware the interview was running.”
And a spokesperson for ITV said: “To avoid any further speculation and untruths around this, Gemma’s comments were in relation to an interview Jason gave with a newspaper at the weekend. There is nothing more to it.”
Dancing On Ice 2019 continues this Sunday night live on ITV from 6PM.
