Frankie Cocozza has revealed how he almost quit E4’s Celebs Go Dating.
The E4 dating series’ third run concludes this evening and former X Factor star Frankie has been on the show searching for love.
But he confessed to getting cold feet half-way through filming.
“I was on the train on the way up there and thought ‘f*** this I’m getting off’. F*** the money, see ya later,” Frankie admitted. “But I really started to enjoy it and I thought ‘I’m getting into the swing of it’.
“Now it’s ending I’m like b*****ks I don’t want this to end.”
Former X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Frankie admitted he dealt with his nerves by drinking.
“I got slaughtered –for the first mixer. I was battered,” he told The Sun newspaper. “At the hotel before I had two beers – that was at 2pm.
“By the time 6pm came around I was absolutely hammered but I needed to do that I think because it would’ve been carnage.
“I would’ve walked in and wouldn’t have spoken to anyone. But I could’ve stayed a bit more sober.”
In tonight’s show, it’s the agents’ final party and the celebs are all under pressure to bring their perfect plus-one to the event. They need to choose carefully as they’ll be introducing their date to friends and family.
In a twist, Frankie has invited fellow celebrity dater Charlotte Dawson to the party.
After being asked out by Frankie, Charlotte has a tough decision to make. Will she take new man Joe, or is Frankie the one for her?
Other celebs taking part in Celebs Go Dating’s third season include TOWIE’s Bobby Norris, Model Calum Best and TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent.
As for the girls, Hollywood’s Courtney Stodden, TV presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford and Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo have all also been confirmed for the show.
Celebs Go Dating airs week nights at 10PM on E4.
The final airs this evening (Friday night).
