The latest candidate fired from The Apprentice reckons he’ll end up replacing Lord Sugar as host.
Jeff Wan became the second contestant to be axed from the BBC One series tonight.
In this evening’s show, the candidates were summoned to Stoke Park, an impressive five-star hotel, where Lord Sugar made a grand entrance via helicopter to reveal the second task facing the budding entrepreneurs this week.
The candidates were given the opportunity to let their creative juices flow and try their hand at interior design as they were tasked with making over a bedroom, before pitching their finished design to the hotel manager and an industry expert.
28-year-old Business Analyst Jeff got the boot after the Boys team failed for the second week in a row.
“Jeff, you certainly talk well, but you’ve not been clear in telling me what you’ve done this week, let alone last week,” Lord Sugar told him. “I’ve got a little bit of a dilemma here, but despite your high qualifications, Jeff, I wouldn’t trust you with a hotel in Monopoly.
“Jeff – you’re fired!”
In his taxi ride home, Jeff said: “I don’t feel responsible for the failure of this task.
“Lord Sugar just lost an opportunity. 20 years from now, I’ll be hosting The Apprentice because I’m that damn God successful.”
However right now, Jeff is unemployed having quit his job for the show.
He told Radio Times: “I actually left a career in finance to join the show so I gave in my resignation a week before I came into the house. So right now, I’m just looking for opportunities!”
The Apprentice 2017 continues next Wednesday 18th October, 9pm on BBC One and BBC One HD
