Debbie McGee could find herself in trouble with Strictly Come Dancing bosses.
One of favourites in this year’s competition, Debbie is reported to have revealed Sunday’s result before it aired on TV.
This weekend Strictly Come Dancing went to the movies, and the celebrity dancers and their professional partners gave their best Hollywood-inspired performances, as the fourteen couples each took to the dancefloor to impress the viewers at home – as well as judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood in the studio.
Simon Rimmer and Reverend Richard Coles had to dance again and it was the Reverend who went home.
As always, the result was pre-recorded on Saturday night straight after the live performances.
And that apparently allowed Debbie to accidentally reveal the result while on the radio.
The Daily Mirror says that Debbie let slip Richard’s exit after telling viewers he was “very sad” to see him go.
Quickly appearing to back track, Debbie then added: “He fell over at one point and had to be treated and everything else, so now we’re waiting to see what’s going to happen in the results show tonight.”
Just one more reason the results should really be live, we guess…
Speaking about his exit last night, Richard Coles said: “It’s been a joy. Every minute of it I’ve enjoyed, even when Dianne was hissing through her teeth “feet, frame, feet, frame”, it’s been completely joyous. I only forgot to reckon into my strategy that I can’t actually dance!”
When asked by co-host Tess Daly what his highlight had been, Richard said: “So many highlights, I think really it’s coming together as a group of people, fellow celebs and pro dancers. It has just been a really really wonderful experience.
“And also it’s really important that none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for the fantastic crew, wardrobe, hair and make-up, production, the fantastic band and the judges too.”
Richard’s pro partner Dianne Buswell was asked if she had any words for Richard and said: “I have had the time of my life and he is a friend for life.”
The remaining thirteen couples will take to the dancefloor again next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One at 6:45PM.
