Davina McCall says she’d love to do Strictly Come Dancing

Davina McCall has said she’d love to do Strictly Come Dancing.

The TV presenter says it’s the one reality show she’d take part in.

And it turns out, she has been asked before.

Davina told The Sun how she’s said no to the BBC in the past but does hope to take part one day.

“Strictly Come Dancing kept asking me for quite a long time, but I think they have given up asking now,” she explained. “I would like to do it, though – just not until all my kids [Holly, 16, Tilly, 14, and Chester, 11] have left home.

“If Strictly still want me when I’m 60 years old, then I’ll do it.

Davina currently presents new game show The £100K Drop on Channel 4.

It’s a new weekday spin-off of The Million Pound Drop that ended in 2015.

Despite the prize money reduction, Davina insists it’s “made zero difference to the excitement.”

She said: “We had to go to £100k because we are now daily and you can’t offer £1million every day – no show would be able to afford that. We’re regularly giving away £10,000, which is a life-changing amount of money, and enormous for a daytime TV programme.”

Meanwhile, Davina vowed ‘never to retire’ as she revealed the one programme she’d love to host.

The former Big Brother presenter said: “I’m never retiring. You’ll have to prise the microphone out of my dead hand! The one TV programme I would love to present – and I do give Ben Shephard a hard time about this – is Ninja Warrior UK.

“I just think it’s very me.”

The £100k Drop begins airs on Channel 4.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One in the autumn.
