Darcy Oake returns for Britain’s Got Talent Champions with shocking trick

Magician Darcy Oake is set for a return to Britain’s Got Talent for its upcoming The Champions series.

BGT’s new show – which launches on Saturday August 31 – will see acts from the past 13 years return and go head to head with the best Got Talent acts from around the world.

Described by ITV as the “Olympics of Talent”, the new series was filmed in front of a live audience at Wembley’s Arena earlier this year.

One of the acts returning was Darcey Oake, who first wowed the judges during Britain’s Got Talent’s eighth series in 2014 where he finished 5th.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, illusionist Darcey shocked the judges and audience with a daredevil trick.

A source said: “Darcy left everyone pretty petrified. It’s something completely different to what he’s done before. The audience were completely silent.”

The tabloid adds that medics were on standby while the panel were left “completely gobsmacked” by the performance.

Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden make up this year’s judges just like with the main show.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions will air over six episodes.

Each week, two acts make it through to the grand finale – the first is a Golden Buzzer act chosen by one of the judges or Ant and Dec while the second is voted through by superfans in the arena audience.

Other acts confirmed to appear across the series include former Britain’s Got Talent winners Paul Potts, George Sampson, Richard Jones and Collabro, plus some of the show’s other most memorable acts including Stavros Flatley and Twist and Pulse.

Meanwhile, international acts set to wow the audience include Ukrainian sand artist, Kseniya Simonova; Danger act, Deadly Games; Alexa Lauenburger and her incredible dogs; and what could be the most terrifying performer yet, The Sacred Riana.

The winner will walk away with a cash prize and a coveted Champions trophy.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions starts Saturday August 31st on ITV.
