Dancing On Ice’s Saara Aalto ‘covered in big bruises’ from training

Saara Aalto has revealed she’s been left ‘covered in bruises’ after brutal training sessions.

The X Factor runner up is one of 12 celebrities on the new Dancing On Ice line up and has been in training for two months.

Saara is partnered with pro skater Hamish Gaman and has been working hard in rehearsals.

Speaking ahead of the first live show in January, Saara revealed: “I’ve had mainly like big bruises!

“I had a huge black spot because Hamish is grabbing me so tightly. So I’m full of bruises!”

In an interview with the Daily Express, Saara went on to reveal why she signed up for the show: “Well, I did The X Factor two years ago, which for me, changed my whole life completely and I’ve been living here since then.

“I just love challenges and because I had a good experience on The X Factor, I wanted to do it again.

“I want to try something else. I want to challenge myself, I want to learn a new skill.”

Celebs joining recent Eurovision contender Saara on the Dancing On Ice 2019 line up include TOWIE’s Gemma Collins and Grease star Didi Conn.

Also taking to the ice in the new year are soap stars Jane Danson, Richard Blackwood and Mark Little, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and TV host Saira Khan.

And completing the Dancing On Ice cast are Westlife’s Brian McFadden, Love Island’s Wes Nelson, ex-Strictly pro dancer James Jordan and Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton.

Meanwhile, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will once again be heading up the judging panel alongside Dancing On Ice veteran Jason Gardiner plus Ashley Banjo, who returns after his debut on the show in 2018.

Dancing On Ice begins on Sunday, January 6 on ITV.
