Dancing On Ice contestants ‘revealed’ in cryptic teasers

The Dancing On Ice 2020 line up is slowly being teased in a series of cryptic contestant pictures.

And it’s got people VERY excited.

In a first cryptic post to both Twitter and Instagram earlier this week, the Dancing On Ice team shared a mystery curly haired celeb all ready to hit the rink for the new series.

“Big hair, don’t care? We wonder who this celeb will be taking to the ice very soon… #DancingOnIce ?” they captioned the snap.

Many have been trying to guess which celeb it could be with Diversity dancer Perri Kiely one of the favourites.

Further pictures have followed with fans guessing they include TV presenter and former I’m A Celebrity winner Joe Swash, Steps singer Ian H Watkins and Love Island’s Maura Higgins.

All have been heavily rumoured for the new Dancing On Ice lineup but as yet no celebrities have been officially confirmed for the show.

Other names rumoured for the Dancing On Ice 2020 line up are singer and TV personality Michelle Heaton and TV entertainer Michael Barrymore.

However it’s claimed that TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent has had to pull out of the series. It was rumoured he was planning to follow in the skates of his on/off girlfriend Gemma Collins, who competed in the last series.

A source alleged to The Sun newspaper: “He was desperate to do it to lose lots of weight like Gemma did – and they were keen to have him on too as they were looking for big reality star names.

“But Arg has taken on loads of projects and Sink or Swim has been incredibly challenging for him – he can’t fit anything more in.”

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will be back in the new year to host what will be Dancing On Ice’s twelfth series.

Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo will return as judges, joined by new judge John Barrowman MBE who replaces Jason Gardiner.

Former Dancing On Ice contestant John said: “I am so excited to be returning to the Dancing On Ice family. Unlike most I have been through the rigorous task of skating live as a contestant in the first series.

Although no start has been confirmed just yet, Dancing On Ice typically launches the first week of January on ITV.

You’ll be able to watch and catch up on episodes online via the ITV Hub.
