Diversity’s Perri Kiely is the latest celebrity skater confirmed to take part in Dancing on Ice 2020.
He is the seventh confirmed name on the line up for the new series, which returns to ITV in the New Year.
Perri appeared live on Kiss FM Drivetime to confirm the news, joining Michael Barrymore, Maura Higgins, Kevin Kilbane, Lucrezia Millarini, H and Lisa George in the line up.
Perri will now don his skates, alongside eleven other celebrities, in a bid to become champion of the ice.
On joining the show, Perri said “I’ve done a couple of training sessions. Not gonna lie, it’s hard. It’s game face.”
Each week the twelve celebrities will skate live with their professional partners in a bid to impress both the panel and the viewers, who will ultimately decide who wins the show. This year sees John Barrowman join Torvill and Dean and Ashley Banjo on the panel.
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby once again return to present the show.
Earlier today, Coronation Street actress Lisa George became the sixth confirmed celebrity on the Dancing On Ice line up.
Lisa is best known for playing Beth Tinker in Coronation Street.
Lisa appeared live on Lorraine to confirm the news, saying: “I haven’t been on the ice for about 40 years. Yesterday was my first session on the ice. It was good, I really enjoyed it, I didn’t fall. I was a bit scared, I was quite nervous.
“I can’t believe I’m 50 next year and I just thought ‘if I don’t do this now I’m never going to have the chance to do it again’.”
Also confirmed today was Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins.
He appeared live on Good Morning Britain to confirm the news, saying: “What am I doing? I have frantically been You Tubing James Jordan and Ray Quinn. I have kids now so it’s a skill I can learn and take my kids to the ice.
“It’s scary and exciting and now there’s no turning back. I know I’m going to be put through my paces and that’s the name of the game.”
Further celebrities will be confirmed over the coming days.
