Dancing On Ice 2019 start date confirmed for brand new series

Dancing On Ice air date revealed

ITV has confirmed the start date for Dancing On Ice 2019 in the new year.

After an original revival in 2018, the show will be back for a brand new series next month (January).

And ITV have announced that it will begin on Sunday 6 January at 6pm on ITV.

The channel previously revealed a first trailer, with the show’s polar bears returning for a new adventure.

Bosses revived the celebrity skating contest earlier this year, promoting its comeback with an adorable animated advert featuring two polar bears learning to skate across a frozen lake.

It was a hit with viewers, and some even said it was better than last year’s John Lewis Christmas advert.

Now, with a brand new series on the horizon, ITV has revealed a brand new trailer.

And there’s good news for fans of the polar bears, as they’re back to continue their story.

This time, a bear cub finds himself in a dangerous situation and has to team up with a cute squirrel as they bid to escape the breaking ice.

The unlikely duo end up performing a dazzling dance number as they battle the icy elements.

Despite their size difference, the polar bear cub and squirrel perform an exhilarating figure skating routine packed with plenty of pirouettes, jumps, and a final triumphant lift.

The cast of celebrities on the Dancing On Ice 2019 line up was confirmed previously.

Reality favourite Gemma Collins and Grease star Didi Conn are among the twelve famous faces joining the eleventh series.

Soap stars Jane Danson, Richard Blackwood and Mark Little, ex-Strictly star James Jordan, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and TV host Saira Khan will take to the ice.

Westlife’s Brian McFadden, Love Island’s Wes Nelson, singer Saara Aalto and Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton complete the line-up.

Producers recently revealed which professional dancers will partner the celebs.

Dancing On Ice returns to our screens in January.
