Dancing On Ice 2019 line up complete with final two names confirmed

The Dancing On Ice 2019 line up has been completed with the final two names.

Grease legend Didi Conn and Love Island star Wes Nelson have both been confirmed for a brand new series of Dancing On Ice, which returns to ITV in the New Year.

Didi, most famous for her role as Frenchie in Grease, was announced via a message on Lorraine. Wes was announced live on BBC Radio One’s Maya Jama show.

The pair complete the 2019 line up alongside reality star Gemma Collins, actor Richard Blackwood, dancer James Jordan, Westlife singer Brian McFadden, TV personality Saira Khan, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, Aussie actor Mark Little, soap star Jane Danson and X Factor’s Saara Aalto.

They’ll be getting their skates and sequins on ready to compete against one another in the quest for glory, under the watchful eye of the skating legends Torvill and Dean, who head up the judging panel.

Each week the twelve celebrities will skate live with their professional partners in a bid to impress both the panel and the viewers, who will ultimately decide who wins the competition.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby once again return to present the series.

On joining the show, Didi said: “Boy oh boy, I’m going from being a Pink Lady to Queen of the Ice. I’m coming to the UK on Monday and I can’t wait to see you!”

Wes added: “Gemma Collins is going to wipe the floor with me, I’m super intimidated. I’ve been looking at the line up thinking ‘oh my gosh!’ Of course you’ll be seeing my hips on the ice and the hips don’t lie!”

Earlier today, X Factor’s Saara Aaalto was the latest name confirmed.

She said “I’m super excited about this, I love new challenges and I’m very ambitious. I can be very competitive, but I mainly want to challenge myself. I’ll be saying to myself ‘Saara, you need to push yourself more!’ I am so ready for this and I can’t wait to get on the ice.”

Dancing On Ice will start on ITV in the new year.
