Dancing On Ice’s Jake Quickenden suffers nasty injury in training

Jake Quickenden has revealed a nasty Dancing On Ice injury in training for this week.

The X Factor singer has told fans how pro partner Vanessa Bauer ran over his fingers during a training mishap.

And that painful injury was followed by Jake falling hard on the ice, as the pair go all out for Sunday night’s show.

“So, just finished our first session of the week and we laughed the whole way through it,” Jake told his fans in an online video.

He added: “We worked our *** off but it always makes it easy when you’re having a laugh as well.

“Vanessa ran over my finger and I fell pretty hard as well, but here we are!”

Despite what could have been a pretty gruesome injury, Jake assured fans he would be okay for Sunday night’s show.

This weekend will be a ‘Fairytale’ week of themed performances on Dancing On Ice.

Jake teased on Twitter: “Hyped with mine and @TheVanessaBauer routine this week… been working hard still got to make it better but we will get there!! Couple of nice tricks but all about the skating and story!! ?? bringing another side ?”

The former I’m A Celebrity camper is the current hot favourite to win the series, last week scoring his best marks yet.

Jake once more topped the leaderboard with the first nines of the series after pulling off a daring headbanger move.

But how will he better the marks this weekend?
