Dancing On Ice contestant Jake Quickenden is going all out for success on the show.
The former X Factor winner is one of 12 celebrities on the Dancing On Ice 2018 line up.
And it seems he’s determined to do well when the live shows begin next month.
Revealing his training secrets, Jake confessed to raiding his fiancée’s wardrobe – with good reason.
“I’ve been wearing Danielle’s tights to get used to the Lycra,” he said. “I just feel so lucky that I’ve been asked to do it.
“I’m so buzzing, I can’t even explain.
“It’s my mum’s favourite!”
Jake has also given up sex on the advice of judge Jason Gardiner – not that he was getting any in the first place.
“I’m so busy at the moment, chance would be a fine thing,” Jake told the Daily Star. “Plus I’m engaged now so the ban has been going on for weeks for me.”
The Dancing On Ice stars were recently told to avoid “overindulgences” over Christmas, from food to sex.
Returning DOI judge Jason has said there should be “absolutely no sex” while the celebs remain in the competition.
He told The Sun newspaper: “They need to avoid alcohol, any overindulgence on Christmas Day and sex.
“Absolutely no sex. It drains you of your chi.”
Jason added: “I’m being serious. Like boxers, they will have to abstain. I’m going to.”
Joining Jason on the judges’ line up will be Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo and skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who were coaches on the original series.
Meanwhile, celebrities joining Jake on the Dancing On Ice 2018 cast include soap star Brooke Vincent, Love Island contestant Kem Cetinay, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, Rugby hunk Max Evans, and ITV Weatherman Alex Beresford.
Dancing On Ice will start on Sunday, January 7 on ITV.
