Dancing On Ice line up! Lemar joins cast as injury forces Monty Panesar out

Cricketer Monty Panesar has left the Dancing On Ice line up due to injury.

The sporting star has become the vicitm of the ice, before the show has even started on TV.

A line up of twelve stars on the new Dancing On Ice cast were revealed earlier this year as they begun training.

But Monty has reportedly suffered a nasty injury to his ankle, forcing him to withdraw from the competition.

He will instead by replaced by singer Lemar, The Sun newspaper reports.

“Monty suffered a nasty fall during training and has badly injured his ankle. It’s a quite serious fracture and he’s out of the competition,” a source explained to the tabloid. “He’s been told there’s no way he can be part of the new series, which he’s absolutely devastated about.”

The source added: “Lemar was obviously gutted to hear about Monty’s accident but is thrilled to have got the call up to the show. He’s been putting in plenty of hours of training.”

A spokesperson for ITV told the tabloid: “Owing to an injury sustained in training, Monty has had to withdraw from the competition.”

Lemar joins the Dancing On Ice line up which also includes soap star Brooke Vincent, singer Cheryl Baker and Love Island contestant Kem Cetinay.

Joining them are Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, X Factor singer Jake Quickenden, Rugby hunk Max Evans, and ITV Weatherman Alex Beresford.

Actress and TV presenter Donna Air, athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton and Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring complete the Dancing On ice 2018 cast of celebrity contestants.
