Cricket hero Monty Panesar has become the seventh celebrity to join the line-up for Dancing On Ice 2018.
Monty confirmed that he’s taking part in the revived ITV ice skating contest while speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live this morning.
“This is a great opportunity to keep myself fit and motivated and try a different sport,” said the former England player.
“I’m looking forward to it, it’s going to be very exciting.”
The 35-year-old will meet his professional partner and begin training in the coming days.
This will be the Monty’s first venture in to the world of reality TV.
In July, The Sun reported that he’d previously turned down offers for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Channel 4’s The Jump.
Monty is one of several famous faces who have been confirmed for Dancing On Ice’s tenth series this week.
Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, rugby player Max Evans and X Factor star Jake Quickenden all announced their involvement yesterday.
Corrie actress Brooke Vincent, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker and Love Island winner Kem Cetinay have also signed up.
The line-up will feature a total of twelve famous faces, with bosses yet to unveil the other five.
Dancing On Ice will return to our screens early next year, four years after ITV ended its original run.
Olympic legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are returning to the show, but as head judges rather than coaches.
Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will resume their hosting duties, while controversial judge Jason Gardiner is back on the Ice Panel.
