Dancing On Ice 2018 fans slam judges after skate-off result

Dancing On Ice 2018 viewers have lashed out following tonight’s results.

This evening saw the eleven remaining couples skate live for a second time, before another went home.

At the end of each routine the judges – Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo – gave their comments and marks out of 10 before viewers could vote for their favourite.

The judges scores were then combined with the viewer’s votes before the bottom two couples were revealed as Stephanie and Lemar.

The judging panel chose who to save and who to send home, and it was Stephanie who left Dancing On Ice this week. Both Ashley and Jason saved Stephanie, but Chris and head judge Jayne saved Lemar and so he stayed.

The result proved controversial, given Lemar actually tripped during his skate off performance.

It was also his second time in the bottom two, similarly being saved by Jayne and Chris last week against Candice Brown.

Viewers were quick to flood Twitter with complaints that the judges had made the “wrong decision”.

One fan posted: “I have gone right of this show the best skater out the two left last week and now again this week ??lemar had a fall yet Jane saved him and Chris!!

“They went against the other two judges last week and again this week!! They are awful judges stick to skating”

Another agreed: “What are the judges playing at saving the couple who stumbled? Steph clearly had the better skate. It should have been about the skate off alone. I will not be watching again after this injustice.”

However some defended Jayne and Chris.

“Controversial decision but I’d have saved Lemar he did more skating shame about the trip though at the end! He just needs to up his game in actual skate to try and avoid the dance off next time!,” tweeted a third viewer.

“Best skater went through,” concurred another.

Dancing On Ice 2018 will continue next Sunday night on ITV.
