Coronation Street spoilers: Favourite character set to be killed off in explosion

Coronation Street will see another shock death in the coming weeksl according to the latest spoilers.

Gary Windass, who has been on the ITV soap since 2008, is set to be killed off in a dramatic explosion.

The Sun reports that the long term character, played by Mikey North, will be ‘blown up’ in a car attack in the Ukraine.

The death follows a cheating storyline which saw Gary cheat on girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) with Nicola Rubenstein (Nicola Thorp) – who is now pregnant with his baby.

“Gary’s family are devastated after they’re told of his tragic death,” a source told the newspaper. “Gary’s mum Anna [Debbie Rush] is told that he was killed driving a diplomat whose car was ambushed, blown up and there are ‘no survivors.’

“Sarah is inconsolable when she’s told of his passing and everyone is desperate for more information from the foreign office to find out exactly what’s happened.

“The storyline reaches a climatic point towards the end of this year – with Sarah once again left heartbroken.”

The show airs double episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays every week.
