Claudia Winkleman says she doesn’t believe in the Strictly Come Dancing curse.
The so-called Strictly curse is said to break up couples who take part in the BBC One series.
Co-host of the BBC One series Claudia described taking part in the show as “intoxicating”.
“Of course I understand, it’s very intense,” she said.
Speaking to The Sun, Claudia said: I don’t believe in the curse, but I think lots of people have come in single and they might have met somebody or had a little romance.
“It’s intoxicating, Strictly, because you’re all part of this extraordinary juggernaut. So I don’t think people fall in love with people, they might just love the experience.”
Strictly Come Dancing pro Janette Manrara also recently spoke about Strictly’s curse.
And she suggested that it wouldn’t impact couples so long as their relationship is genuine.
She told the Daily Express newspaper this week that Strictly Come Dancing isn’t going to split up couples who are meant to be together.
And Janette should know, married to another of the show’s pros, Aljaž Skorjanec.
“If you have a nice strong relationship and your feet are planted on the ground when you come in to the show, it’s not going to happen,” Janette said.
She continued: “We’re engaged and happily in love and we’ve both danced with people that have been married and nothing’s ever happened. So I think when that happens it’s coming from people that maybe already have a few things going on that they haven’t realised.
“Strictly brings out the hardest part of you – for the celebrities especially. You’re put up against the wall, having to do something you’ve never done before, with four cameras in the room and millions of people watching. People don’t realise the pressure and intensity they take on.”
