Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly have revealed they have a pact to quit Strictly Come Dancing together.
Tess has hosted the series since its inception in 2004 with Claudia taking over from the late Sir Bruce Forsyth in 2014 as her co-host.
In a new interview, Claudia has told how the pals have a pact to leave the show alongside one another.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Tess and I will leave at the same time. We’ve made that pact over pizza. We’ll go together, whenever they’re done with us.”
And while Claudia has no plans to step down any time soon, she added: “Even if they phoned me now and said, ‘You’re done’, I’d still think I have had the best career possible.”
Meanwhile, Anton Du Beke has admitted he always fears being axed from the show.
Anton is the last of the original professional dancers having appeared on every series to date.
“I’m walking through fields of gold. But that doesn’t mean I don’t worry,” he told the Mirror. “I work in this peculiar business called show and you always think it might end tomorrow.”
“Look at poor old Brendan [Cole]. I love him dearly. But one day you’re in; the next, you’re out,” he added.
Strictly Come Dancing returns tonight on BBC One with the latest results from 7:15PM.
Tess and Claudia present from the legendary Blackpool Tower Ballroom, as the judges scores are combined with the public vote to determine which couples must compete in the dance-off.
The Strictly professionals also get together for a group dance on a grand scale and there will be an unmissable musical performance from Westlife.
