Cheryl to release new song in March and dance on The Greatest Dancer live shows

Cheryl has revealed she’ll have a new song out in March and will perform on The Greatest Dancer live shows.

Cheryl signed a new record deal last year ahead of comeback single Love Made Me Do It.

The former Girls Aloud star signed to label 3Beat, a part of Universal, after working on new music for the past six months.

“The recording process has been driven solely by her and she wanted to retain as much of the creative control as possible,” a source said at the time.

They added: “After several meetings she did a deal with 3Beat because they’ve had huge success in the singles chart in the past few years and would give her creative freedom.

“She has a string of singles she wants to release before committing to an album and now she can test the waters to do whatever she wants.”

Love Made Me Do It charted at Number 29 in the charts following a performance on The X Factor live shows.

Appearing on BBC’s The One Show, Cheryl announced her next single will be out soon.

“I am releasing a new song in March-ish,” she said. “I don’t like to get a specific.. it’s a bit more uptempo.”

Cheryl went on to let slip that The Greatest Dancer would also see her take to the stage.

But it won’t be her vocals she’ll be showing off, with Cheryl revealing that the show’s judges will dance with their acts.

Speaking about appearing on the new BBC One talent series, Cheryl said: “I’m just sat there constantly like wowed, I never really think about my dance history, but when we get to the lives we’re going to be dancing with our contestants.”

For now, The Greatest Dancer continues with its auditions this Saturday night on BBC One from 8PM.
