Charlotte Hawkins had a complete “dance disaster” on Strictly Come Dancing 2017 tonight.
In this evening’s second live show, Charlotte and pro partner Brendan Cole were dancing the Cha Cha to Sugar by Maroon 5.
But Charlotte made a mistake early on and it led to “a few stumbles”, to quote Brendan.
The judges didn’t hold back with their criticisms with Bruno Tonioli saying to Brendan: “You were dragging her from pillar to post.
“You were nearly sweeping the floor with her.”
And Craig Revel Horwood said: “A complete dance disaster darling.
“But at least there’s a positive, at least you won’t have to do that dance again.”
Chatting to Claudia Winkleman afterwards, Charlotte said: “I thought I had it and then it just went like that, all the steps left my head.”
When it came to the scores, Craig awarded just 2, Darcey gave 4, Shirley awarded 3 and Bruno gave 3 for a total of 12 points.
Those marks will be added to last week’s score.
Charlotte and Brendan made a mid-table debut on Strictly last Saturday night, scoring 22 points for their Foxtrot to end up ranked 7th of the 15 celebs.
The total judges’ marks from the past two weeks will the be combined with the results from the first public vote tonight.
The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night’s (Sunday) results show.
