Auditions for Britain’s Got Talent 2018 are underway and now there’s a brand new way to get your act in front of the judges.
You can apply for what will be BGT’s twelfth series via WhatsApp.
Talented wannabes are being encouraged to secure a place at one of the show’s talent team auditions by sending a video message, link to a Youtube clip or an existing video to BGT’s WhatsApp.
To apply for the upcoming series, video entries must be sent to the special Britain’s Got Talent number (07880 394428) by 23:59 BST on 31 December 2017 and the video must be less than five minutes long. Successful applicants could then be headed for the judges’ auditions in 2018.
As always, Britain’s Got Talent is open to any performer of any age, with any talent – all you need is a skill and star quality that they think will impress. Anything goes from magicians to comedians, drag acts to singers and acrobats to animals.
Executive Producer, Charlie Irwin said: “We’re excited to open up this year’s BGT auditions to WhatsApp as one of the many ways hopefuls can now apply to audition for our next series.
“Our goal every year is to reach as many people across the country and take the auditions to them so WhatsApp is an extension of that. Get WhatsApping your talent!”
If WhatsApp isn’t your thing you can also audition for the BGT team in person with open auditions currently touring the UK.

It was pianist Tokio Myers who won the last series of BGT, and has since co-produced the Artists for Grenfell charity single in support of The London Community Foundation and is about to release a debut album in November.
Tokio joins a long line of acts who have made it huge thanks to the show: BGT’s 10th winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones, the first magician to ever win the show in 2016, has been touring the country on his sold-out UK Tour Power of Imagination.
There’s also the likes of Susan Boyle, who has sold more than 23 million records worldwide and Diversity, who have sold-out six nationwide tours and just completed their seventh UK tour Genesis.
