Britain’s Got Talent’s ventriloquist Jimmy Tamley teases big semi-final plans

Britain’s Got Talent’s comedy ventriloquist Jimmy Tamley has big plans for tonight’s semi-final.

Jimmy Tamley is a 64-year-old performer from Devon who wowed the judges with his first audition.

Ahead of this evening’s live show, Jimmy said: “I can’t tell you how excited I am, it’s off the scale! To walk out onto the stage for the whole world to see is going to be amazing.

“And I don’t know if it’s because I’m in it, but it feels like the most exciting series ever! I’m 64, and I’ve never given up and now I’m getting the biggest break of my career appearing in the Semi-Finals on BGT!”

He teased of what’s in store for his live performance: “I’m going to perform a piece that I can only do once, when you see it, you’ll understand that my material cannot have been road tested on gigs, because it will be so unique!”

In his audition, Jimmy got David Walliams and Amanda Holden both involved in his performance.

Now he’s hoping to get the other judges – plus Ant and Dec – on stage with him.

Jimmy told The Sun newspaper: “I didn’t know until the morning of my first audition that David Walliams and Amanda Holden would take part. Now I want Ant and Dec, and Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon to get up on stage too. I’ve got something big up my sleeve.

“I think it’s going to be hilarious. I’ve done ballet, a striptease and skipping, now you should look out for the moonwalk, Irish dancing and belly dancing.”

Other acts taking part in tonight’s fourth semi-final are 23-year-old singer from Northern Ireland Mark McMullan; singing harpist Ursula Burns and dance group Lil Icons made up of young kids aged 7-11.

Joining them are 34 year old comedy magic act Graeme Mathews, magician Ben Hart and aerialists Duo A&J and 12-year-old singer from Glasgow Kerr James.

Britain’s Got Talent Live Semi-Finals air Monday 27 May to Friday 31 May at 7.30pm on ITV followed by the Live Results show each night at 9.30pm.

Britain’s Got More Talent also goes live each night on ITV2 at 10pm.

The Live Final airs on ITV on Sunday June 3 at 7.30pm, followed by BGMT on ITV2.
