Tributes have been paid to a Britain’s Got Talent contestant who has passed away ahead of his audition airing.
Dancer Jack Saunders tragically died last weekend having performed for the judges earlier this year.
He was a member of dance troupe Green Force Five, who the Daily Mirror report had made it through to the live semi-final shows.
Sadly, it’s understood Jack took his own life aged just 25.
“We don’t know why he did it, he didn’t leave a note. He did not have depression,” his mum told the newspaper. “He went to the GP before Christmas because he was feeling tired and they never spotted any problems.
“It’s just shocked everyone because to other people Jack had it all. Jack achieved more than many people could dream of achieving. He knew we loved him.
“I think he was a Lost Boy. He must have felt just like a lost boy bless him.”
The paper says that BGT bosses are supporting Jack’s friends and family, as well as talking to them about whether to air his audition and if the group wish to continue on the show.
A spokesman for Britain’s Got Talent told the tabloid: “Our thoughts and condolences are with Jack’s family and friends during this difficult and devastating time.”
Talented Jack had previously performed on Sky One’s dance competition Got To Dance and had also appeared as a backing dance on The X Factor.
His sister encouraged others who may be suffering in silence not to be afraid to talk.
“Suicide awareness is getting better but there is still a bit of a stigma, but it can happen to anyone,” she said. “The message we want to share about Jack’s death is how important it is to talk to people, and tell people how great they are.
“Don’t wait until it’s too late. Spread positivity and kindness and just be with them.
“And don’t be afraid to talk. Even if you don’t want to talk to family and friends there are support groups which can help. Sometimes talking to a stranger is easier.”
