Britain’s Got Talent bosses have been forced to say sorry after Amanda Holden swore in tonight’s live show.
This evening (Monday, May 27) saw the live semi final of BGT 2019 begin.
One of the acts to perform tonight was haunting magic act The Haunting, presented by a mysterious woman called Elizabeth.
The act saw Elizabeth lead Amanda backstage where she was left completely spooked by a scary magic trick.
And it left Amanda exclaiming “F**k!” on the stage live on ITV.
“We’d like to apologise if you heard any bad language there from Amanda, but she was very scared,” Ant and Dec said after the performance.
“I just really want to apologise if I said anything… so massive apology. I can honestly say I feel terrified,” Amanda said.
Swearing aside, the judges were full of praise for Elizabeth.
David Walliams commented: “It was stunning. the performance was out of this world, it was terrifying.”
Alesha Dixon added: “I feel really bad because Amanda’s genuinely shaken up. It was so scary and intense. It was thrilling to watch.”
Simon Cowell commented: “Compared to everyone else so far, this is by far the most interesting act by a while we’ve seen. I know we’re going to get in trouble for this. Apologies for the swearing.”
After the main show, on ITV2’s More Talent, Amanda confessed: “I said oh god, oh god, don’t fire me for swearing.
“I had a panic attack and went to the toilets lots of times.”
Other acts in tonight’s live semi-final were rollerblading duo Rosie and Adam, mind reading dog act Dave and Finn, dancing group Khronos Girls, comedy impressionist Tony Rudd and singer Brian Gilligan.
They were joined by two golden buzzers: David Walliams’ pick, the singing and dancing kids of Flakefleet Primary School, and Ant and Dec’s choice, dancer Akshat Singh, who opened the episode.
Once every act has performed, viewers will vote for their favourite.
The one contestant with the most public votes will go straight into the final while the judges will decide between the second and third placed acts as to who will join them.
Britain’s Got Talent airs live all this week at 7:30PM until Friday. The live final airs on Sunday.
